The questions that come to mind are:
There is no Sun nor any other Stars yet, so what is this light?
It is in essence, the creation of what eienstein called "relativity"
It marks the beginnng of time
the first day is marked without a night and day rotation
God says "Let" there be light..
Light has existed for as long as god has existed. It need not be created. It is perhaps one essence of god. He gives it freely.
The earth it self is allready exisiting.
If the earth is to last forever then it was created a forever ago.
Question 1
So what does God mention light twice? The answer is simple. The first light he mentions is the initial light that starts time and initiates the expansing of the universe. This passing of time marks the first day.
Time is intertwined with Space. For time to exist, space must exist. Light plays the role of setting the boundaries, setting the pace at which time passess, and At the speed of light, both space and time cease to exist. The same is true in the absence of light or rather more appropriate to say is in the absense of photons traveling at the speed of light.
